Recreate AI-generated music with real musicians
Replay Heaven has spent over 25 years recreating sampled recordings for use in commercial music releases. More recently, we have become one of the few studios specialising in recreating AI-generated vocals and entire AI-generated songs using live musicians and traditional recording techniques.
Whether your original track was created in Suno, Udio or another AI platform, we can recreate it using professional singers, instrumentalists and producers, allowing you to move from an AI-generated demo towards a commercially releasable recording.
Why recreate an AI track?
Clients typically come to us for one or more of the following reasons:
- Legal certainty – Some labels and distributors remain cautious about AI-generated recordings because of ongoing questions surrounding copyright ownership and training data.
- Commercial release – Many broadcasters, radio stations and other music platforms are still reluctant to support fully AI-generated music.
- Creative control – AI systems can generate songs remarkably quickly, but often provide limited control over the finer details. Recreating the track traditionally allows changes to the arrangement, lyrics, instrumentation, performances, production and mix.
- Higher production quality – Today’s AI-generated audio still tends to have a dense, fuzzy character with reduced transient detail compared to a professionally produced recording. Rebuilding the song from scratch allows substantially higher audio quality.
- Human performance – Some artists simply want their final release to feature real singers and musicians.
How close can the recreation be?
This is where AI recreation differs from our traditional replay work.
When recreating a sampled recording, our goal is usually to produce an almost indistinguishable recreation of the original performance.
AI-generated music is different.
Modern AI systems frequently create sounds that no physical instrument actually produces, or vocal performances that no human singer could naturally perform. In those cases, a perfect one-to-one recreation simply isn’t possible.
Instead, our goal is to create the version that would have existed if the song had originally been recorded by real musicians.
Where the AI recording is already relatively natural, the recreation can often be extremely close. Where the AI relies heavily on synthetic artefacts, impossible vocal characteristics or other AI-specific sonic qualities, some interpretation is inevitably required.
Interestingly, once an AI song has already become popular online, listeners often become attached to those AI-specific characteristics. In these cases we may deliberately introduce subtle production techniques that preserve some of the familiar character of the original, even while the underlying performance is entirely human.
